Diane Jamison-Hilton, age 73, went to be with Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, January 5th 2024.
Diane, the 2nd oldest of 4 children, born Saturday July 8th 1950 to the late Eugene and Georgia Jamison in Brooklyn New York, were she received all of her education, including her college degree in Social Service,
Diane retired from New York City Board of Education after dedicating over 20 years as a school counselor, serving public school children. A career she enjoyed very much.
Diane has been married to her husband James E. Hilton for over 35years, and leaves him to cherish her memories along with her only child Deidre A. Jamison- Brown. She further leaves her beloved only sister and friend, Minnie Jamison-Archie, the oldest of the four, also a host of cherished nieces and nephews and a many well-loved friends and relatives,
Diane is preceded in death by both her siblings, Danny and James Jamison and her parents.
Diane also known to her family as DiDi, and Di will forever be remembered, cherished, and loved.
Her wit was razor sharp as she was known for her blunt, and shocking words, deeds, and facial expressions, all in hopes of helping people to see a new or her perspective. She was kind, generous, nurturing and compassionate, even in her anger or frustration, She would be the first to apologize as it was never her intention to hurt others only to express herself as she felt necessary.
Diane was devoted to her family in so many ways, even to her or their default, she would worry, protect, resent, forgive, support and long for her family in their absence.
Diane, had a special bond with "her children" all of which was someone else's, however if she loved them or cared for them in any way they became " HERs" this no one would contest!
Diane will be missed is an understatement, she will be loved and missed forever is more fitting.
Her family, bids her now, her Eternal Rest safe in the arms of her Savior, as we await our Heavenly Reunion, we do so with our fond, affectionate memories.
