Diane Kerr

September 21, 1954 — September 12, 2023

Diane was born on September 21, 1954, in Shelby, OH to Francis and Ruth (Feaster) Whisler. There she learned how to be a leader to her younger siblings, and graduated from Crestview High School in 1972. On May 22, 1976 she married Gary Paul Kerr. They raised two sons, Kevin and Andrew.

Diane possessed a strong work ethic and excelled in her career as a medical receptionist. However, her true passions were in raising her family, and especially in her gift of encouragement. She was the embodiment of 1 Thess 5:11 and would find a kind word to say about anyone and sharing her love with others. Even to the very end of her time here on Earth, Diane would make use of social media to spread positive encouragement to everyone she knew. Diane was particularly proud of her five grandchildren and took time to care for them at a moment's notice, and they all provided her with such joy in return. She was also an avid fan of crafting and watching the Ohio State Buckeyes and Chicago Cubs.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Gary Kerr, her brother Russ Whisler and his wife Kathy, sister Lori Dye and her husband Dale, brother Tim Whisler and his wife Lisa, son Kevin Kerr and his wife Stephanie, son Andrew Kerr and his wife Ashley, grandchildren Caleb, Hailey, Sara, Locklyn, and Rowan Kerr, and many loving cousins, nephews, and friends. A memorial service will be held on September 30, 2023 at the Ashland Church of Christ at 10 AM
