Diane Ruth Thomas, 75, of Columbus, passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at the James Cancer Hospital.
She was born June 5, 1937 in Columbus, daughter of the late Gordon and Ruth Petty Larkin.
Diane was a 1955 graduate of Mifflin High School.
She won many awards at the Ohio State Fair for her baking.
Diane was employed by the Columbus Metropolitan Library a job she truly loved.
She was an avid shopper and loved cooking and reading, but most of all her family.
Diane is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Edward Thomas; sons, Dan (Lisa), David (Nancy) and Doug Thomas; daughter, Debbie (Terrence) Moran; brother, Jon (Selma) Larkin; grandchildren, Danny (Lindsay), Adam (Liz), Ryan (Jamie), Chad (Lacie), Leah and Keenan Thomas, Owen and Quinn Moran; great grandchildren, Jackson, Jaxon, Nolan and Griffin; lifelong best friends, Barb and Gay; loving dogs, Daisy, Poppy, Cleo, Sally and Duke.
Visitation will be Sunday, August 12, 2012 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus.
Funeral service will be Monday, August 13, 2012 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the James Cancer Hospital, 300 W. 10th Ave. Ste. 519 Columbus, OH 43210.
