Dominic L. Barkley, 51, passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2022 in Columbus, Ohio.
He was born on September 11, 1970 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late John Weaver and Grace Morgan.
Dominic is preceded in death by his grandmother, Marietta Higgins and nephew, Andre Higgins.
Dominic is survived by his children, Davonna Barkley, Gabriella Glover, Jabari Jackson, Brea James; sisters, Marietta Thompson, Rosalind Barkley, Samantha Weaver, Mia Weaver, Shannon Weaver; brother, Eric Weaver; granddaughter, Valeria Johnson; aunt, Yvette (Keith) Wilson; uncle, Jeremiah (Lanie) Higgins and a host of family and friends.
Dominic loved to cook, receiving his Associate's Degree in Culinary Arts and Applied Business from Hocking Technical College. He also received a Mechanic's certificate. Before his passing, he began working toward a plumbing certification. In his free time, he enjoyed working out, cruising around town listening to music, and spending time with family.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, July 30, 2022 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Columbus Northeast Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, Ohio 43231 with a memorial service immediately following also at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Columbus Northeast Chapel.
