Donald E. Huff, born July 24, 1936, passed away August 8, 2013. Retired MSGT USMC and Vietnam Veteran. Retired SGT from Franklin County Sheriff's Office. After a long hard battle he has gone home for eternal rest.
Preceded in death by loving parents Al and Mary Huff; brothers, Ray and Bussy Huff.
Survived by best friend and loving wife, Jessie Gail Huff; daughter, Donna Huff; step-daughters, Pamela Newcome and Danielle "Dee" Woyan-Getz; sister, Janet (Larry) Schaumleffel of Pt. Charlotte, FL; brother, Richard (Nancy) Huff of Pt. Charlotte, FL; grandchildren, Cindy (Rick) Cutlip, John Schrader, Jessica "Whopper Bopper" (Matt) Stevers of West Jefferson, Shane (Alexis) Abram of Pataskala; little buddy Devon "TAZ" Meade of Urbana; nine great-grandchildren; special nephew, Raymond (Darney) Huff; brother-in-law, Hal Moore; other nieces, nephews, friends and golf buddies.
Don was proud to be a US Marine and has many friends from the Corp. as well as many friends in the Sheriff's Dept.
Visitation Sunday, August 11, 2013 from 1-3 and 5-7 pm with Funeral Service at 7pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Full Military and Christian Services to be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Donald's memory to OhioHealth Foundation (Ohio Health Hospice), 180 E. Broad St. FL 32, Columbus, OH 43215-9480.
