Donald Minney

MINNEY, Donald, 76, of Columbus, passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2005, at home surrounded by his family due to kidney failure. Born September 4, 1928, in Chillicothe, Ohio, to the late Lewis E. and Minnie Mae England Minney. Donald was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Columbus, a former employee of W.W. Williams Co., owner of Hilltop Upholstery and retired owner and operator for North American Van Lines. He is survived by his wife, Jean Lee Minney; four children, Melinda and Dan Stickler of Grove City, Melonlee and Howard (Skip) Lewis of Galloway, Marla and Michael Betz and Daryl and Melissa Minney of Columbus. Donald is also survived by his grandchildren, Michelle Stickler, Bryan (Heather) Stickler, Christpher and Christy Lewis, Colt and Anna Betz; great-grandchildren, Samantha Stickler, Michael and Brandi Chapman, Audrey and Ashlyn Lewis, HunterStickler; brother, Henry Minney; sisters, Vernice (Ralph) Penisten of Chillicothe, Blanche Vandergriff of Columbus and many nieces, nephews and friends. Donald was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Stanhope, Margaret Hahn, Martha Southward and brothers, Howard, Lloyd and Lewis (Everett) Minney. Visitation will be held from 2:00PM until 9:00PM Sunday, February 27, 2005 at Hillcrest Baptist Church 2480 W. Broad St., Columbus, Ohio. Funeral services will be held 10:00AM Monday, February 28, 2005 at the church with a graveside service at 2:00PM at Mt. Tabor Cemetery, Chillicothe, Ohio. Pastor Tim Lee and Pastor Joe Edinger will be officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in care of the family.
