Donald Carl Morgan

Donald Carl Morgan, 61, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away Tuesday May 7, 2024.

Don was born May 23, 1962 in Columbus, Ohio to Don and Patricia (Burke) Morgan.

Don was an avid car racing fan and a Cancer survivor, which helped shape his opinions and advocacy of the medical marijuana legalization issue. He earned an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Development. Don often said he never met a kid or animal he didn’t like as they had a sense of wonder, joy and loyalty, often lost by adulthood. His favorite adult was his loving mother, Patricia Burke Morgan. She was his confidant and biggest fan.

Don will be deeply missed by his partner of 17 years Helen Morgan. He is survived by his daughter Cincera Danielle Ward and son by choice Damien. Don wore many hats within the family. He was a loving Grandpa to Adalynn Rose and Sawyer Donald. He was a Big Brother to sister Ilsa Morgan Pierce (s) Ron Pierce and a little brother to Frank Hanson (s) Michelle Hanson and Loyce Hanson Theesfeld. He is also fondly remembered by his 7 nephews Ryan, Adam, Colin, Aaron, Dillon, Dalton and Travis. Don had many others in his life that called him Pops by choice. Austin, Crystal, Nikki, Chad and Phillip.

He will be greatly missed by all those he called Friend, too numerous to mention but the family would like to shout out to Bud and his son Derrick.

Don was preceded in death by his Father Don Morgan who was his hero.

Visitation will be Friday May 17, 2024, from 9am to 11am at Newcomer NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin Granville Rd. Columbus. Funeral services will be at 11AM immediately following visitation hours. Burial will be at Union Cemetery.
