Donald William Perry of Orient, Ohio was born on July 27, 1940, a son of the late George F. Perry and Nora E. Rice. Don passed peacefully from this life on Friday morning, December 17, 2021 while an inpatient in the Select Specialty Hospital of Columbus, Ohio surrounded by his loving family. Don was 81 years old. In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his brother, Willis Perry; sister, Pat Blankenship; and brother Freddy Perry.
Don never met a stranger and always showed himself friendly. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to his neighbors. Don was of the Pentacostal Faith and he cherished his family. He loved being surrounded by those he loved. His main interest was gaining one more soul to the Lord. His famous quote of late is for people to love everyone God gives you, because one day He'll want them back. His smile will forever be engraved on the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Betty Perry; sister, Joann Bailey of Meansville, Georgia; son, Ronnie (Kim) Perry; daughter, Donna (Bob) Nelson; grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Trinity Assembly of God 1112 Demorest Rd #7003, Columbus, OH 43204 on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm, where funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at 11:00am. Pastor Ken Keene officiating. Interment to follow at Concord Cemetery.
