Donald Renner, 69, of Columbus passed away unexpectedly Friday, February 13, 2009. He was born March 28, 1939, in Columbus, son of the late Martin and Helen Dyer Renner. Donald was the former owner of Renner Towing, race car owner and driver for 18 years, having raced at Columbus Motor Speedway, Kilkare, Shadybowl, Eldora and Queen City. In addition to this, he was an avid euchre player, nascar fan, member of the Hilliard Moose and V.F.W. Post 4044. Donald is survived by his loving wife of 46 years , Judy Knore Renner; sons, Donnie (Kelly) Renner and Phillip (Mary) Fugate; daughters, Dee (Ray) Adams and Betty (Curt) Butler; brother, Jerry (Irene) Renner; seventeen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and family. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 17, 2009 from 3:00-7:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway Grove City, with the funeral service beginning at 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Newcomer Funeral Home.
