Donald Verne Whiteside

Donald Verne Whiteside, 49, of Columbus, OH passed away January 27, 2011 at his residence. He was born on February 24, 1961 in Chillicothe, OH to Edward E. and Anna M. (Workman) Whiteside. He was a plant operator for the City of Columbus for 25 years. Family includes, sisters, Pamela G Whiteside, Cathy (Randall) Rice, brother, Mark D. (Heidi) Whiteside, uncle, Donald Workman, aunt, Mary Workman, many cousins and his rescue cat Scatter. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Terry Whiteside, half brother, Dick Freeman and his rescue cat Pepper. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 1:00 to 3:00pm on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home and Crematory, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123. A Memorial service will be held at 3:00pm, following the gathering at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be directed to Colony Cats Adoption Center, 2740 Festival Lane, Dublin, OH 43017.
