Donald Whittaker

Our father Donald "Donny" Lee Whittaker Sr., 62, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Columbus, Ohio on December 27, 2022.

Donny was born on April 7,1960 in Columbus, Ohio to Geraldine L. (Seymore) and Jackie Bolin and was a life- long resident. Donny married his high school sweetheart in 1978 and they had two sons, Tony and Don.

Donny liked to collect cars and was a great self-taught mechanic. He liked spending time with "his boys," listening to music and watching combat sports. He also was a huge fan of "The" Ohio State Buckeyes and Cincinnati Bengals. Donny was a dedicated worker for any company that he worked for often walking to and from work so as not to call off. He had been working for Sally's Beauty Supply Company in Columbus for 30+ years when he passed.

Donny is preceded in death by his mother Geraldine. He is survived by his two sons Tony (Amanda) of Grove City, Don Jr. (Mary) of Columbus and Grandchildren Ashlynn, Karissa, Courtney, Olivia, Orion, Maximus, Lilyan, and Lindsey. He is also survived by his father Jack Bolin (Columbus) and brother Henry "Junior" (Kay) of Alabama. As well as many nieces and nephews.

Memorial arrangements are being entrusted to Newcomers Funeral Home in Grove City, Ohio and will be held on Wednesday January 18, 2023. Family and friends will be welcomed from 11-1 with a short service beginning at 1:00.
