Donna Mae Brooks

Donna Brooks, of Westerville, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2023. She was born in Columbus, OH to the late Cleve and Delia (Warren) Miller. She was the youngest of 8 siblings and the 1st to graduate high school. She married, had 2 daughters and became a homemaker. Because she loved being around people, over time she worked in the food industry at Frisch's Big Boy and later worked for an insurance agency. She was awarded Volunteer of the Year at St. Paul School for her 8 years of service. Donna was loving, helpful, caring as she took care of her mother, sister and brother-in-law. She taught her nephews to tie their shoes and niece to drive. She loved to swim and dance to Elvis music. Once, tossing the football with her grandsons, she caught the football between her legs. She was known to boogie board with her granddaughter in her 70's. She had a beautiful soul inside and out. Donna will be deeply missed by her children: Dianne Viles, Cheryl Barrie (Paul); grandchildren Richelle (Viles) Nieto (Carlos), Kristin Barrie, Paul (Kaitlyn) Barrie, Nick Barrie; great-grandchildren Carlos Rafael Nieto, Cruz Antonio Nieto, Daniel Kristopher Barrie, along with many nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was forever a dog lover, her late beloved pup/son of 18 years Bubba and her fur baby grandpups Lilly, Marshall, Bear, Millie and Mina. She was preceded in death by her mother Delia (Warren) Miller, father Cleve Miller, sisters Alice Penwell, Dorothy Carter, Geneva Miller, Ruth McCurry, brothers Ed Miller, Buddy Miller and Ray Miller. We hope she knows how much she was loved and hope she is dancing in Heaven. Funeral service will be Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at 12:30pm at Newcomer NE Chapel 3047 E. Dublin Granville Rd. Columbus. Burial will follow at Kingwood Memorial Park.
