Donna Ann Springer, age 66, entered into the presence of her loving Savior on March 21, 2021 after a courageous battle with breast cancer.
Born September 10, 1954 in Columbus, Ohio to Donald Dean (deceased) and Lorene Coleman, she is survived by her sister Bernie.
A devoted wife, mother, sister, friend, and maw maw; she will be missed as much for her hugs as for her world-famous pumpkin pie.
Loving both God and others from a young age suited her well for a life of service. A journalist for the school newspaper, she also wrote an advice column called "Dear D". This was not surprising considering her lengthy career in the health care industry with United Health Group and in women's ministry.
After graduating from North High School, she married her teenage sweetheart, Jerry Lee Springer, at the North Free Will Baptist Church in October of 1972.
Though they raised two beautiful girls, Jennifer Lynn (who finally reunited with Donna) and Jessica Elaine, Donna was a mom to anyone that entered their home, whether a foster child or a teen from youth group.
She eventually became a proud mother of two sons, Harry Haysmer and Mark Musetti, and was blessed in her later years to dote upon her grandson Conner.
Donna most recently worshipped at the Westerville Free Will Baptist Church, where she and Jessica served together to impact women both locally and statewide through the Ohio Women Active for Christ (OWAC).
We welcome you to celebrate her life at Newcomer – Northeast Chapel, 3047 E Dublin Granville Rd., Columbus Saturday March 27 from 9am -12pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Women Nationally Active for Christ (WNAC).
