Dorcas “Cricket’ Short 1934- 2025

Cricket passed away on February 2 , 2025 at The Ashford in Grove City, Ohio. She was born October 9, 1934 in Anderson Co, TN to Fisher Bunch and Laura Daugherty Bunch, the eldest of 9 children. She moved to Columbus in 1956 where she lived for many years. 

She is survived by caregiver Mike Pallos, her sister Rose Lively, uncle Victor Bunch, stepdaughter, Ruby Redding and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her three children, Judy Lett, Jackie Brandenburg and Jerry Montgomery, her husband Tilman ‘Doc’ Short, stepson Harry Short and 7 siblings.

Visitation Wednesday, February 12, 2025 from 11am until the time of Funeral Service at 12pm at Newcomer, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Interment to follow at Concord Cemetery (new), Grove City, OH.
