Dorothy Adams

Dorothy McGraw Adams, age 87, passed suddenly on September 8, 2022 at home. She was born on February 3, 1935 in Chauncey, WV to the late Alfred and Leatha (McCoy) McGraw.

Dorothy (affectionately known as Granny) is preceded in death by her former husband, Bobby; daughters, Karen Renee, Sandy Lee; 10 siblings: Gladys, Herman, Willard, Arthur, Earl, Hazel, Opal, Lawrence, Helen and Billy.

Mom loved her family above all else. She loved to garden, cook, talk about her childhood and visit family when she was able.

She is survived by her children, Gene (Teresa), Sharon and Lori Adams; grandchildren: Dale, Brad, Delena (Jim), Andrea, Lisann (Xavier); great-grandchildren: Brittany (Ryan), Wesley, Haley, Wyatt, Joseph, Brayden, Aiden, Jacob, Cameron, Tristan and Remington; great-great grandchildren: Logan and Memphis. She is also survived by special nieces, Trish and Donna; as well as many other nieces, nephews, brothers-and sisters-in-laws and family.

Calling hours will be 6 - 8 p.m. on Thursday, September 15, 2022. Service to be officiated by Danny Vanscoy on Friday, September 16, 2022 at 9:30 a.m., Newcomer Funeral Home Southwest, 3393 Broadway.
