Dorothy "Wanda" Burgoon, 78, of Columbus, passed away Monday, September 8, 2008. Wanda was born on May 5, 1930 in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Herbert Charles and Hilda Mae Williams. In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Carol Ann; and sisters, Shirley Mae Williams and Donna J. Brush. Wanda is survived by her daughter, Barbara (Dan) Limmer; grandchildren, Amber (Mo) Alchabaun, Travis Sessions, Dalton Limmer, and Addie Limmer; great granddaughter, Cassandra; sisters, Phyllis (William) Orcutt, and Sharon Fazzone; brother, Hugh (Janice) Williams; and brother in-law, Dana (Shirley) Brush. Wanda was also blessed with a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and longtime friends. Wanda is remembered for her unique ability to listen well, laugh often, offer comfort, and to find the good in each person, those qualities will live forever in the in the hearts and minds of everyone whose life she touched. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 11, 2008 from 6:00PM-8:00PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio. Visitation will also be held Friday, September 12, 2008 10:00AM-11:00AM at the funeral home with funeral services immediately following at 11:00AM. Beverly Hume officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army or Charity Newsies.
