Dorothy Burns, 65, passed away March 25, 2011. She was born to Clyde and Brownie Compton on February 27, 1946 in Splashdam, VA. In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her brother, Mike Compton and two grandchildren, Deborah Burns and Randolph Stanford Burns. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Marvin; children, Randolph (Elizabeth) Burns, Rebecca (David) Ford, Katherine (Matthew) Taylor and Christina (Jim) Acton; siblings, Judith (the late Millard) Collins, Jerry Compton and Gregory (Lynn) Compton; 17 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Dorothy was a Deacon's wife and Sunday school teacher at Williams Road Freewill Baptist Church. Visitation Monday, March 28, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Funeral Service Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at 11 AM at Williams Road Freewill Baptist Church, 1100 Williams Rd., Columbus, OH 43207. Interment to follow at North Fork Cemetery, Fredericktown, OH.
