Dorothy Nyswaner was born in Flatwoods, Ky. June 14, 1928. She was married to George Nyswaner on Jan. 1, 1960. They were married for 46 years until his death in Feb 12, 2006.
She will be sorely missed by her children Linda Garrett, George Nyswaner and Dottie Powell who proceeded her in death (2004) and special daughter-in-law Joyce Nyswaner; also preceded in death by her son in law, David Garrett.
Grandchildren, Stacy Garrett and Peggy Dyas, Laramie and Mick Lundy, Chad and Sasha Garrett, Michelle and Caleb Long, Shelby and Joe Hettinger, Grant and Kelly Goldhardt and Kelly Hill; son in law, Charlie Powell. She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was well known for her famous nut rolls, deviled eggs and ice tea which was enjoyed by her family at specials dinners throughout the years. She hosted many holidays at the Miller's Farm which she called home for over 40 years.
During the last 20 years she fed anywhere from 13-25 llamas every morning and cleaned their stalls 7 days a week. Then in the afternoons, she couldn't stay away from them, she would go out in the afternoons and feed them hay and cleaned up more if needed. Her pets, dogs and cats are to numerous to mention. Anytime she or anyone found a stray animal, they knew where to take it. Needless to say animals in general is what kept this amazing woman going all these years.
Grandma Dodo you have no idea how much you are going to be missed. You are so loved.
