Dorothy W. Vanderpool, 82, Reynoldsburg, passed away Friday, September 3, 2010, surrounded by her loving family. Dottie was born in Martin, KY., on October 21, 1927, to Samuel and Vicie (Goble) Wells and is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Sage Vanderpool; son, Larry Vanderpool. Survivors include her sons, Eddie (Robin) Vanderpool and Terry Vanderpool; brothers, Sammy and Tracy Wells; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; former daughter-in-law, Ardella; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Dottie was a member of the VFW Post 9473 Ladies Auxiliary and was President for 6 years. She also served as Cancer Committee Chairman for almost 20 years. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 7, 2010, 4-7PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH with the Service to follow at 7:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 9473 Cancer Fund, 1420 South Waggoner Road, Reynoldsburg, OH 43068.
