Dorpha Tackett

Dorpha Tackett, 81, of Gahanna, passed away January 12, 2021. Dorpha was born December 24, 1939 in Ligon, KY to Willie and Hannah (Mays) Tackett. He enjoyed watching sports, especially his Kentucky Wild Cats, Ohio State, Cincinnati Reds and the Bengals. Dorpha proudly served in the United State Army. Dorpha will be deeply missed by his; daughter Sheila and very special friend Christie; 4 special grandchildren; 2 brothers 5 sisters-in-law and 2 brothers-in-law along with many nieces and nephews. Dorpha was preceded in death by his parents, wife Lorena, son Randy, and grandson Brady. Graveside services will be Friday, January 15, 2021 at 12pm at Mifflin Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your local dog shelter.
