Douglas E. Anderson
October 16, 1955 — January 23, 2023
Douglas (Doug) Anderson, an HVAC Technician, Teacher and long term Columbus, OH resident passed peacefully at the age of 67 with his daughter Bridget by his side.
Doug is survived by his children ; Bridget Anderson and Brandon Anderson(Lydia Crowl); his grandchildren, Ciera Roby, Mina Anderson & Adrianna Anderson; brothers Robert (Mary Fe) Anderson & Michael (June) Anderson; nieces Stacye (Dustin) Hamby, Shannon (Ryan) St John; nephew Michael Jr Anderson & his Step father Forrest Bennett. He is preceded by his mother Lucy (James) Bennett.
Doug was born in Columbus on October 16th, 1955 to Lucy James. He graduated from Central High School and went on to Ohio State and Columbus State for higher learning. He went on to become an HVAC Technician before advancing into an HVAC Teaching career.
Doug enjoyed miniature figure gaming; participating in gaming conventions & going to see the latest sci-fi and action movies with his son Brandon. He was an avid reader enjoying the intricate story lines of sci-fi books. Doug was a fan of American history and collecting antique historical military weapons which would later be donated to Motts Museum.
A small immediate family service will be held at The Newcomer Funeral Home in Grove City, Ohio.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
