Bugbee
Douglas Irving Bugbee, 77, of Arbor MI, formerly of Baltimore, OH went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at Spring Arbor Assisted Living Center, with his family by his side. He was born in Ashtabula, OH to his parents, Harry Irving and Edith Lillian (Robbins) Bugbee. Mr. Bugbee is survived by his wife of 55 years, Verla Jean (Hartshorn) Bugbee, who he married on April 9, 1955; son, Bruce Douglas (Alice) Bugbee of Horton, MI; daughter, Laurel Jean (Billie) May of Columbus, OH; grandson, Scott Douglas (Kayla) Bugbee of Roswell, NM; granddaughter, Lindsie Michelle Larzelere of Columbus, OH; great granddaughter, Kennedy Ann Bugbee of Roswell, NM; brother, Leland (Karol) Bugbee of Baltimore, OH and a niece and nephew. Mr. Bugbee grew up in northern Ohio. He served in the Navy from 1953 to 1957. Mr. Bugbee graduated from Franklin University and retired from Doctors Hospital in Columbus, OH in 1990 after 30 years of service. He and Verla moved to Michigan in 2008. He attended Spring Arbor Free Methodist Church as he was able. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at Spring Arbor Assisted Living and General Lakes Hospice for their loving care of Douglas. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 28, 2010 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway Grove City. Funeral service will be Thursday, April 29, 2010 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home, with Pastor Ray Richards, officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Cemetery.
