Dr. Charles Allyn Butcher died suddenly November 8th, 2021, after losing his fight with COVID-19.
Charles was born December 27th, 1947, to Eugene and Charlene (Whiting) Butcher. He is survived by his wife of 40 years Janet Mulford, his children Eric Butcher, Todd Mulford, Ralph (Amanda) Butcher, and Angie (James) Scott, his grandchildren Jordan Mulford, Ross Mulford, Jocelynn Butcher, and Evan Butcher, and his great-granddaughter Isabella Butcher. Charles was predeceased by his son Bryan (Lisa) Mulford.
Charles was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, a registered Professional Engineer, and a college professor. He was a lifelong learner and educator with a passion to share his knowledge and hopefully change someone's life as a result.
In his spare time, Charles was an avid sportsman, woodworker, animal lover, and intellectual who would engage anyone who was willing into deep discussion and thought, as well as help anyone he saw in need. Always in pursuit of the newest challenge to be solved, Charles will be missed by the many lives that he touched.
Years from now it will not matter how many dollars he had, how big his house was, or what kind of car he drove, the world will be a better place and his family and friends better off for Charles having been here.
