Dustin embodied an innate curiosity in life and strong appreciation for the simple things that often are overlooked. He did not just arbitrarily live in the world; instead, he was a deep thinker who sought to understand how things work and the meaning of life. This was evident as a child where he regularly deconstructed and reassembled his electronics solely with the purpose of teaching himself how they work. While he was a man deep in thought, he also loved deeply with his heart and soul. He had a contagious sense of humor and youthful spirit that inspired others not to take life too serious. He always had a playful twinkle in his bright green eyes and a smirk that was never ending.
Throughout his life, Dustin immersed himself in his creativity, intellect, and ability to teach himself new skills. He was passionate about music and deeply ingrained in the local music community. He taught himself how to spin records, performed as a DJ in his spare time and regularly volunteered for the ComFest as a concert sound tech. In addition to music he loved bowling, frisbee golf, Yahtzee, art and history. While Dustin pursued many passions, he also worked hard to build his own business as a construction contractor. During his career he taught himself several new trades and mentored many others who are grateful for the knowledge he imparted on them. His friends and family describe him as a genuine man who loved very deeply. He was such a blessing to those who knew him and we are all better people for having had him in our lives. He will be greatly missed. May Dustin rest in the everlasting love, peace and light of our Lord and may he watch over each of us until we shall meet again.
