Dwain A. Campbell, 86, of Columbus, passed away December 8, 2009. Dwain was born to Raymond and Helen (Hemphill) Campbell on October 1, 1923, in Burlington, Iowa, and is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Dallan Campbell. Survivors include his wife, Laverne (Weiss) Campbell; son, Scott (Lauralee) Campbell; sister, Alice (Richard) Nemecek; aunts, nieces, nephews and many friends. He was a member of the Karl Road Christian Church in which he served as an Elder and as a Deacon. Dwain enjoyed many activities especially bicycling, photograph and flying. He was a veteran of the US Navy. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 17, 2009, 6-8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus, OH with the Funeral Service on Friday, December 18, 2009, 10:00 AM at Karl Road Christian Church, 5750 Karl Road, Columbus, OH 43229. Interment will follow at Kingwood Memorial Park.
