Dwight C. Beery, 92, of Columbus, passed away on Monday, October 6, 2008, in the care of his loving wife. Born to Clayton and Alice (Bose) Beery on July 14, 1916, in South Perry, OH, Dwight was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Velma Bryant and Sylvia Howell; brothers, Merle, Wayne and Noble Beery. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy (Kirker) Farris Beery; 7 step-children; many step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, many nieces, nephews, and many friends. Dwight was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gahanna, served in the US Army during WWII and worked for Jeffrey Manufacturing for 31 years. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10, 2008, 10-11:30 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus, OH with a Funeral Service at 11:30 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Northlawn Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Carmel Hospice, 793 State Street, Columbus, OH 43222.
