Eddie C. Evans, 71, of Columbus, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 28, 2008. Born to the late David and Rosa Lee (Thomas) Evans on September 3, 1936, in Anderson County, SC, Eddie is also preceded in death by 6 siblings. Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Jean (Ivory) Evans; daughters, Michell Ivory and Erica Evans; sister, Mary Alice Russell; brother, R.L. Evans; granddaughter, Karmella King; numerous family, friends and neighbors. Eddie worked for OSU Hospital for 32 years as an Environmental Tech, long time member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and former member of Brotherhood Chorus. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1, 2008, 11AM-12PM at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 2188 Woodward Avenue, Columbus, OH with the Funeral Service to follow at 12:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Central Ohio Chapter, 3380 Tremont Road, Columbus, OH 43221.
