Edith K. Homer, 83, passed away January 9, 2013.
A lifetime resident of the Canton area, she recently moved to Columbus to be near her daughter, Patricia "Pat" Randolph; granddaughter, Kelly (Brian) Gruen; great grandchildren, Evan and Elizabeth. Edith is also survived by her son, Ronald Homer of Canton and preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Alex "Al"; parents, Herman and Bertha Sturm; siblings, Ronald Sturm, Evelyn Fausneaucht and Judy Foronda.
She was a truly selfless person always thinking of others before herself. Edith had a love of life, a love of people and a love of nature. She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, grace and beauty both inside and out. Edith will be greatly missed by family and friends, but will live forever in our hearts.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel at Forest Hills Cemetery, 4414 Cleveland Ave. NW Canton, Ohio, with Pastor Ben Walters, officiating.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus.
