Edith Stafford

Stafford, Edith M, age 95, of Pickerington, OH, passed away November 5, 2022. She was born October 28, 1927 in Carter KY, the daughter of B.H. and Bessie (Kiser) Meadows. Preceded in death by husband Paul Stafford, brothers Jack, JP, and Clayton Meadows, sister Dorothy; and daughter Mary Jane Dickerson. Survived by daughter Brenda Tudor of Columbus, Ohio; 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and friends. Edith's work ethic was like no other. In her lifetime of hard work, her final retirement was from Walmart in 2021 after 20 years, at the age of 93. Edith Meadows Burge Stafford was not only a beautiful talented woman, but a resilient soul amongst the darkness of the depression and loss of parentage. Raised by her grandparents, she grew into life a strong woman. Her stories of her colorful, one of-a-kind life have been passed down to the ears of her beloved granddaughters who will keep her alive in their hearts and memories. Strong beyond measure, yet always knew when and where to be gentle. Before her comfort she placed the wellbeing of those she loved. Her wit and uncanny strength will continue on in the lives of her beloved grandson, his wife, and his daughters; Edith's great granddaughters. She is now where we were all born to be, safe in the arms of her Father, God. No service will be held at this time. Donations can be made in Edith's name to Meals on Wheels, Fairfield County, Ohio.
