Edith Viola Kincaid, 85, Columbus, Ohio, formerly of Springfield, Ohio passed away peacefully at New Albany Care Center on March 4, 2010. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Hazlett and her mother, Esta Hazlett; 3 sisters and 1 brother. Edith was married for 65 years and is survived by her husband, Kenneth Kincaid; daughter, Judith (Brian) Shindle; son, Doug (Glenna) Kincaid; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Springfield, and after moving to Columbus attended Grace Brethren Church. Edith worked as a Paraoptimetric Assistant and Office Manager for Optometric Doctors in Springfield and Columbus. A Memorial Celebration is scheduled at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus, OH on Sunday, March 21, 2010, 2:00 PM with the family receiving guests one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, Edith would have loved for a contribution to be made to Right Start Ministries, P.O. Box 437, Worthington, OH 43085. Edie's favorite verse was Romans 8:28 and we know she's waiting in Heaven for us to join her. Private burial at a later date.
