Edithmaye Baker, 84, of Columbus, passed away Friday, November 14, 2008. Edithmaye was born on December 20, 1923 to the late Thomas and Hilda Evans in Columbus, Ohio. Edithmaye was a graduate of West High School. After High School she attended business college and worked in Car control for the United States at Hertz for 9 years. She also worked at H&R Block. In addition to her parents Edithmaye was recently preceded in death by her Glen Seely, her companion of 20 years. Edithmaye is survived by her daughters, Diana L. (Edward) Burris and Debbie L. (Jeff) Mayer; grandchildren, Angela (Bobby) Reed, Ronald (Julie) Saint, Tiffany Burris and companion Mark Akin, Sherry Norris and companion Fernando A. Montero, and Sara (Steve) Hatcher; great grandchildren, Josh, Alan, Brandon, Tony, and Alexis. Visitation will be held Monday, November 17, 2008 from 4:00PM-8:00PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at 11:00AM at the funeral home. Ben Nichols officiating. Interment will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery, Columbus, Ohio.
