Edna Armstrong, 93, of Mt. Sterling, went to be with her Lord from Westminster-Thurber Community on April 20, 2011. Edna was born in Pickaway County, Ohio, the daughter of Cecil and Fannie (Christman) White. Edna graduated from Trevecca College and was a librarian for 25 years at Buckeye Middle School in Columbus. She was a member of the Mt. Sterling First Church of the Nazarene. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Armstrong; sisters, Agnes Hosler and Ella Fryer; brother Cecil Jr. and beloved grandchildren Jerry Armstrong and Julie Armstrong. Surviving family includes son, Jim (Marti) Armstrong and daughter, Jo Lynn (Bruce) Brunner; brother, Walter (Mary) White; grandchildren Jodi (Steve) Van Oss, Jim Armstrong III, Jeff (Heidi) Armstrong, Jan (Tim) McNeal, Jon (Nikki) Armstrong, Jason Armstrong, S. Bret Brunner; 17 great-grandchildren and 5 great, great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 pm, Friday, April 22, 2011 at the Mount Sterling First Church of the Nazarene, 226 North Market Street, Mt. Sterling, OH 43143. Celebration of Life will be at 12:00 noon, Saturday, April 23rd at the church. Internment will follow in Bloomingburg Cemetery.
