Edward Gillum, 75, of Columbus, passed away April 13, 2007. He was born September 26, 1931 in Burke, KY. He was preceded in death by his father, Wincel Gillum; stepmother, Mary Justice Gillum; mother, Vesta Thornberry and sister, Mary Wanda. Edward is survived by his wife, Lucille Lewis Gillum; children, Eddie David Gillum of Alaska, Dwight (Bonnie) Gillum, Christopher (Tina) Gillum, Annette (Don) Hawkes, James Gillum all of Columbus, Anita (Don) Phillips of Lancaster; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a host of other family and friends. Edward was the Pastor of Columbus Cathedral Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He has gone to meet the Saviour, he loved. Visitation will be held 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00PM Monday, April 16, 2007 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio. Funeral services will be held 11:00AM Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at the funeral home. Pastor Lawrence Kennedy will be officiating with interment at Concord Cemetery.
