Edward W. Hart, born December 11, 1913, passed away June 17, 2006. He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, June; daughter, June Sigrist; son, Ed Hart Jr; sisters, Elvera Wallace, Marian Williams, Sister Benedette, SND and brother, Carl Hart. Ed is survived by his daughters, Patricia (Don) Mathews, Eileen (Dan) Fagan, Maureen (Ralph) Locke, Jerralyn Nunan-Garich (Bob); son-in-law, Gary Sigrist; 28 grandchildren and 53 great-grandchildren. Ed was a member of St. Aloysius Church. Retired as a Lieutenant on the Columbus Fire Department July 1966 after 25 years on the Emergency Squads. Known as "Fast Eddie", he was one of the original "54 Wonders." His love and devotion to his family and his dedication to the fire department are his legacies. Visitation will be held 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00PM Wednesday, June 21, 2006 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio with a prayer service at 7:30PM. Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:30AM Thursday, June 22, 2006 at St. Aloysius Church 2165 W. Broad St., Columbus, Ohio. Interment will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
