Edward J. Lucas, 78, of Pataskala, passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2010. Ed was born to Robert E. and Margaret (Littleton) Lucas in Moundsville, WV., on January 21, 1932, and is preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, two sisters and a granddaughter. Survivors include his daughter, Lori (Tim) Miller; sons, Joseph and Matthew (Brenda) Lucas; sisters, Betty and Shelda; brother, Charlie; granddaughter, Alexandra Miller; best friend, Patricia Lucas; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Ed served in the US Air Force and was owner- operator of Lucas Paving Company. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 19, 2010, 2-4 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, OH with the Funeral Service at 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to The Mount Carmel Hospice, 793 West State Street, Columbus, OH 43222.
