Edward Ray Thompson, 71, passed away on October 16, 2009. He was born on May 27, 1938 in Greenville, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Thompson Sr. and Ester Green (Seidle). He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Patricia Ann Thompson; daughters, Ruth (Scott) Barnes, Karen Thompson, Judy (Chris) Graessle and Carol (Audrey) Keeling; son, Jeffrey Edward (Michelle); brothers, David and Earl Jr. "Buddy" (Bonnie); sisters, Jane, Faye and Mary "Dolly"; 11 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Edward was a veteran of both the US Air Force and United States Navy. He was a life member of both the North American Hunting and Fishing Clubs and American Legion Post 532. He retired from the US Navy and Consolidated Stores. After retirement, Edward enjoyed spending time with his wife, family and many friends. He was an avid outdoorsman and fisherman. Edward was a man of many talents and interests. Visitation Tuesday, October 20, 2009 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Funeral Service, Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at 10 AM, also at the funeral home.
