Edward Windon

Edward "Lee" Windon, 73, of Orient, passed away on July 1, 2006 at OSU Richard M. Ross Medical Center. Lee was born April 8, 1933 to Jessie and Freda (Welch) Windon in Gallipolis, Ohio. Preceded in death by his parents and grandson Robert Bray, Lee is survived by his wife of 48 years, Patricia (Lilly); daughters, Sarah (David) Bray, Jetta (Scott) Ruble, Stella (Larry) Polizzi; sons, David and Paul; Grandchildren, Nicole Windon, Abigail Bray, Hannah Ruble, Ross Ruble, Louis Windon; cousin, Helen Lawson; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Don and Margaret Bailey; nieces, nephews, many friends and "Spike" his faithful canine companion. Lee enjoyed spending his time painting, helping his neighbors and meeting his "coffee buddies" from Columbia Gas. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 6, 2006 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 7, 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. The family wishes to extend a special appreciation to the staff at Central Ohio Cardiology of Grove City.
