Edwin W. Eaton , 98, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away December 6, 2020.
He was born in East St. Louis, IL on October 31, 1922 to the late Eugene and Alma (Muehlhausen) Eaton.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 67 years, Reba Mae (McComb) Eaton.
Surviving family includes; children Bill (Ann) Eaton, E. Randall (Cindy) Eaton, Marsha (Fred) Black, Karen (Rod) Gartin, Carol Eaton; 15 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; great-great-grandson Weston Ashby Ray Butler; sisters Marilyn, Shirley, Elsie; brother-in-law Bill (Bobbi) McComb; as well as many other loving extended family and friends.
Edwin served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a 72 year member of the Ralph Rickley Masonic Lodge 670.
He was retired from Rockwell International after over 35 years.
Edwin volunteered with Mifflin Township Firefighters and EMS for 15 years.
A Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Monday, December 14th, 2020 and Tuesday, December 15th, 2020 from 10:00 am to 10:30 am with a funeral service immediately following all at Newcomer Funeral Home- Northeast Chapel, 3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus, Ohio. Burial will take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Columbus - OH.
