DAGUE
Eileen M. Dague, age 90 years, passed away November 22, 2017 at St. Ann's Hospice Care. Born in New Albany, Ohio, Eileen was a long time resident of Gahanna, Ohio. She had resided at Columbus Colony Elder Care for the past year.

Eileen was preceded in death by her parents, Cora Dague and Raymond Dague. She is survived by her sister, Elnora Arnold, Palmetto, Florida; brother, Paul (Bev) Dague, Lancaster, Ohio; nieces, Sandy (Tom) Thieson and Marcia Miller, also of Palmetto, Florida.

Eileen retired from Western Electric/ATT after many years of dedicated service. Sometime after retirement, she worked at Wendy's at Stoneridge where she loved cooking and her co-workers. Eileen was known and recognized for excellent customer service. Canine visitors at the drive thru window were treated with a dog biscuit. Upon leaving Wendy's, Eileen was awarded a Chef's Hat, the first of its kind. A proud veteran, Eileen served in the US Army during the Korean conflict. She was honorably discharged in January 1954.

Eileen was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, where Pastor Steve Brown and church volunteer and friend, Pamela Amatto, visited with her in her home on a regular basis. Many church members kept in touch with her over the years, sending cards and good wishes.

Eileen, known to her friends as "Leenie", enjoyed treating and driving everyone to events, especially to dinner at MCL restaurant, where she was co-founder of the Westerville MCL Scooter Club. She was known for inviting every passing visitor to "join the club". Leenie loved music, live theater productions, reading, hosting parties and traveling. She had visited all of the states in the USA except for three. An animal lover, Eileen rescued numerous cats and dogs during her lifetime. She leaves behind a cherished feral cat colony, now in the care of neighbors and friends.

Honored to be Leenie's friend and helper over the years is Jean Bowman and her husband Dick. Eileen renamed Jean, "Angel". Friends, Jane Sagraves, Linda Robinson, and home health aide Eula Garland showered Leenie with unconditional love and attention. Leenie's joyful presence, kind heart and generous spirit will live on in our hearts.
