BATEY
Eileen Rebecca Hunter Batey, 84, passed away Tuesday, August 3, 2010. Eileen was born in Loudonville, OH on June 30, 1926, to Howard H. and Cora E. (Sellers) Hunter and is preceded in death by her parents; husband, James A. Batey; sister, Pauline Hunter Taylor; half brother, Clarence Smail. Survivors include her three children; Gene L. Batey, James H. (Karen) Batey and Ann E. Carpico; grandchildren, Benjamin K. Batey, Danielle A. Carpico, Terence L. (Kelly) Batey, Kimberly A. Carpico, Aaron J. (Jessica) Batey; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Eileen was a long time member of the Johnstown Independent Baptist Church, DAR and Hanby Music Club. Eileen retired from the OEA as an Administrative Assistant. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 5, 2010, 2-4 PM & 6-8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus, OH. Funeral Service on Friday, August 6, 2010, 10:00 AM at Johnstown Independent Baptist Church, 7397 Johnstown-Alexandria Road, Johnstown, OH. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Union Cemetery, Perrysville, OH (Ashland County). Eileen's family would like to thank Heartland Hospice for their care and support.
