Ruth Elaine Kaufman Johnson, age 84, passed away on October 20, 2021 in Columbus, OH.
She was born in Mansfield, Ohio on November 5, 1936 to Louis and Ruth Kaufman.
She was a graduate of Ohio State University as a Dental Hygienist. She was a member of Theta Chapter of Delta Zeta Sorority.
She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Additionally, she was a popular and successful Lazarus Associate for many years and a Legal Secretary for the Ohio Attorney General's Office, from which she retired.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Robert Kaufman.
Elaine is survived by her husband of 62 years, Gerald; sons William, Bruce, Steven (Marj); daughter Melissa (Chris) Hasebrook; grandsons Alex (Kaitlyn) Hasebrook and Tyler Hasebrook; granddaughter Mackenzie (Richard) Williams; and great granddaughter Kameron Hasebrook.
Elaine, as she was known by her many friends and family, was a kind and gentle person who made friends easily and was noted as a lover of canine and feline pets. She will be sorely missed.
The family is hosting a Celebration of Life Open House on November 5, 2021 from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm at Norwich Township Hall, 5181 Northwest Pkwy, Hilliard, OH.
