Elaine N. Lower

May 25, 1959 — February 19, 2022

Elaine Nora Lower, 62, unexpectedly passed away on Saturday February 19, 2022 in Columbus, Ohio. She was born May 25, 1959 to Frank Wallace and Marjorie Lehman in Columbus, Ohio. Elaine graduated from Gahanna-Jefferson Public School District. She married the love of her life Brooke in 1977 and got to spend forty-two beautiful years together before Brooke passed away in 2019. They had two amazing children, Brooke and Jennifer.

Elaine was an exceptional woman who loved deeply and leaves a huge hole in the hearts of her family and friends who loved her in return.

She was a black belt in Taekwondo and practiced for many years where she met life-long friends. She loved photography, and you could usually catch her behind the lens or in the dark room. She also loved to collect antiques and go to flea markets to get the best deals.

Elaine worked at Harrington Benefit Services for several years, then Engage, and lastly she was employed at the VA when she passed away.

After Brooke passed away, Elaine rekindled her love with her high school sweetheart James, who made her happy at a time when she didn't think she could ever be happy again. He showed her that she could still accomplish her dreams and she could love again.

Elaine was predeceased by her husband, Brooke Lower; mother and step father, Marjorie (Harold) Lehman; father, Frank Wallace; mother in law, Jean Lower; grandparent, aunts and uncles.

She was survived by her children, Brooke (Heather) and Jennifer (Jermaine King) Lower; brothers, David (Kim), Jeff (Marla), and Trey (Heather) Wallace; sister in law, Debra Lower; grandchildren, Josh Lower, Pierce Lower, Wyatt Lower, Maxton Lower, Jahzara King, River Lower, Joseph King, Joslynn King, Danny Lower, and Addie Lower; and many nephews, nieces and friends.

Elaine had a very special bond with James, who she leaves to cherish her memory.

Services will be held at Faith Covenant Church, 3607 Dempsey Rd, Westerville, OH 43081 on Friday February 25, 2022 at 6:30pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Faith Covenant Church to help with final expenses.

When Tomorrow Starts Without Me
Author Unknown

When tomorrow starts without me, please try to understand. That an angel came and called my name, and took be by the hand. The angel said my place was ready, in heaven far above, and that I'd have to leave behind all those I dearly love. But when I walked through heaven's gates, I felt so much at home, for God looked down, smiled at me and told me "Welcome Home". So when tomorrow starts without me, don't think we're far apart, for every time you think of me, I'm right there in your heart.
