Elbert Ratliff, 76, passed away July 16, 2011. He was born September 17, 1934 in Cabin Creek, WV to the late Arlond W. and Belva (Mullins) Ratliff. Elbert was a proud graduate of DuPont High School, class of 1954. He served in the US Armed Forces for 8 years and was a retired diesel mechanic for Retail Merchants and then UPS. Elbert loved to travel and visit with his family and friends throughout Charleston and Beckley, WV. He also loved to work with his hands on various projects around the house. Elbert was also preceded in death by wives, Patsy (Myers) Ratliff and Luella (Lewis) Ratliff; brothers, Carlos and Bob Ratliff; and sister, Mildred Gill. He is survived by daughter, Teresa (Dave) Helber; son, Christopher (Stephanie) Ratliff; step-daughters, Linda (Pete) Bush, Suzie (Jon) Lewis; brothers, Charles (Joan), Paul (Margie), James (Sue), and Neil (Elaine) Ratliff; grandchildren, Joe, Charles, Chance, Patricia; companion, Phyllis Vickers; and numerous friends. Elbert will be greatly missed by all family and friends. Visitation Monday, July 18, 2011 from 7-9 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Funeral Service Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at 10 AM at the Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Franklin Hills Memory Gardens, Canal Winchester, OH.
