Elizabeth "Bets" Barton, 68, of Plain City passed away Friday, January 6, 2012 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. She was born December 21, 1943 in Portland, Maine, daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Logan Wuenschel. In addition to her parents, Bets was preceded in death by her brother, Myron Wuenschel and sister, Ellen Dukes. She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, James Barton; children, Donald Barton, James (Barbara) Barton Jr., Diana (Dwayne Sr.) Ammon, Tina Dellenbach, Stephanie (Daniel) Eye, Walton (Vonnie) Barton and Christopher (Jammie) Barton; brother, William Wuenschel; sisters, Kathy Gibbs, Lynn Cosner and Maurine Laney; twenty-two grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 10, 2012 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus. Funeral service will be Wednesday, January 11, 2011 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Dayton National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Central Ohio Diabetes Association, 1100 Dennison Ave. Columbus, OH 43201.
