Elizabeth Wachholz Johnson, 32, of Columbus, passed away Sunday, July 10th. Elizabeth was born March 6th, 1990 to Daniel and Cathy {Boals} Wachholz. She was married to Kai Johnson for 6 years.
Elizabeth will be deeply missed by her husband; son Victor; parents Cathy, Daniel, & Maria; sisters Rhea & Michaela. Elizabeth was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, grand-daughter, cousin, niece, and friend.
She was also a wonderful teacher, dog-mom, mentor, volunteer, girl-scout, trumpet player, and leader. She grew up in Gahanna, OH where she eventually graduated from Gahanna Lincoln High School (class of 2008) before later completing her Bachelor of Science at University of Kentucky (class of 2012). She also completed two masters in education as she continued her career as an elementary school teacher.
As a teacher, she taught children from all walks of life and from across the globe, including her work through Americorps and the public school systems through Kentucky, Missouri, and Ohio as an ESL (English as a Second Language) instructor.
Elizabeth enjoyed nature, including both the local sites and abroad. She was an avid national park visitor and had a passion for experiencing the outdoors, along with a passion for traveling around the world, from Austria to Australia.
