Elizabeth Zimmerman-Barrett, 95, a long time resident of Worthington, received her long awaited wish to be with the Lord on August 22, 2009. She was born in Follansbee, WV, on February 8, 1914 to Anna and John Benning. She was the youngest of five children all of whom preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her first husband, G.E. Zimmerman; second husband, Regis Barrett; grandson, Scott Wickline. Survivors include her daughter, Rowena (Larry) Wickline; grandson, Matthew Wickline; granddaughter, Susan (Eric) Friend; great grandchildren, Jessica Wickline, Beth Ann Wickline, Elisabeth Friend and Jakob Friend; nieces, Evelyn Bahen, Ann Plyler, Louise Zimmerman; nephews, Donnie Price and Bill Reid; special friends, the O'Connor Family. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 26, 2009, 5-8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus, OH. On Thursday, August 27, 2009, the Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM at North Community Lutheran Church, 114 Morse Road, Columbus, OH 43214, where Betty was a member for over 60 years. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Church in Betty's name.
