Elizabeth Anne Tyo passed away peacefully on July 8, 2021 at the age of 77. She was born May 26, 1944 to William and Mildred McConaha. She grew up and attended school in New Albany, Ohio. Elizabeth married Ron Tyo in 1961 and they were together for over 59 years.
Elizabeth (Betty) was fun loving with a great sense of humor. She enjoyed family and many friends, bowling, hobbies, reading, monthly luncheons with her girl friends, annual trips to Amish territory with her daughter Brandy, and seasonal parties. Elizabeth lived for many years in Lewis Center, Ohio and for five years in Buckeye Lake, Ohio before passing from Alzheimer's Disease.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her son Ron Tyo, her sisters Louise May Cannon, Mary Lou (Paul) Straham, and brothers Harold (Jean) Cannon, Edward (Doris) Cannon, Patrick (Barb) Cannon, and Jerold (Betty) Cannon.
Elizabeth is survived by her Husband Ron Tyo, her daughter Brandy (Jack) Weisenstein, her son Duane (Ingrid) Tyo, sisters Kathryn (Nancy) Allton and Teresa (Howard) Freeman, her brother Thomas (Margie) Cannon and her Grandchildren: Jesse Tyo, Liz Weisenstein, Cory Tyo, Cierra Noble Dylan Wheeler, Zane Tyo, and Grayson Tyo. Great grandchildren include Brileigh Tyo and Blake Tyo. Elizabeth had many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
The showing will be on July 18, 2021 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at the Newcomers Funeral Home at 3047 E. Dublin Granville Rd, Columbus, Ohio 43231. The funeral services will be at 12:00 on July 19, 2021 at the funeral home, then proceeding to the Resurrection Cemetery Chapel.
