Elliott Ross Wilkins

Elliott Ross Wilkins, 27, died May 20, 2024 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident near Columbus Ohio. He was born December 18, 1996 in Canon City, CO. He is survived by his wife, Brittany Ann Wilkins of Grove City OH, and their infant son, Elijah George. He is also survived by parents Stephen and Lisa Wilkins of Black Forest, CO; older sister Jillian Wilkins Smargie (husband Mike and his daughter Penny) of Colorado Springs; older sister Melanie Burk and her two children, Weston and Ella, also of Black Forest. Other surviving family members include many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by a special uncle, Dave McConnaughey and his daughter, Amy McConnaughey, and aunt, Patty Genduso. His grandparents, Clarence and Harriett Shearer and George and Leona Wilkins also previously passed away in Colorado Springs, CO. He was active in the business of exotic reptiles, where he had many friends and associates, as well as many friends in the motorcycle and gaming communities.
Elliott completed all of his education in Colorado Springs as well as Montana, where he became certified in Masonry then started an exciting life in Ohio in 2020 with Brittany, getting married in June 2022 and welcoming their new son in May, 2024. He worked recently in landscaping and masonry and had done tattoo work as well. His passion was raising and selling exotic reptiles and animals for which he was licensed and certified. He was very gifted at working with animals having trained horses at one time, too. As a child, he participated in many sports being a natural athlete. He loved to fish, explore, and most of all to ride.
Arrangements are through Newcomer Funeral Home, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. A gathering for friends and family will begin there at 5:00 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at Newcomer’s. Service will also be live streamed.
Elliott will also be remembered in Colorado at a Memorial Mass at Our Lady of the Pines Catholic Church in Black Forest, CO, on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with a reception to follow in the Parish Center at noon. All are welcome to attend the Mass, reception, or both.
Elliott will be deeply missed by his wife and son, parents, sisters and extended family. He was adventurous, animated, fun and lived life on his terms. We loved him with an everlasting, unconditional love, supported all his endeavors in his short life and look forward to seeing him again. We love you Elliott. May the road rise to meet you and the wind be always at your back.
