Elmer E. Trout, 84, Columbus, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. Elmer was born in Stone, KY on June 5, 1929, to William and Martha (May) Trout and is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Phyllis (May) Trout: sisters, Lena Chapman and Lozzy Trout; brothers, Lester, Bill, Claude and Clarence Trout.
Survivors include his daughters, Rhonda Felice, Ava (Paul) Finley, Lina (Gary) Ramsey, Barbie (Joe Weber) and son-in-law, Mike Swetnam; sons, Gregory Trout and Danny, Joseph and Eric Collins raised as his children; sister, Sharlene Crigger; brother, Eugene (Jean) Trout: grandchildren, Michael, Paul Allen, Steve, Sean, Amy, Julie, Crystal, Jenny, Amber; 17 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Elmer served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict and worked for Evans Adhesive for over 35 years.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2013, 5-8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, OH with the Funeral Service on Wednesday, June 12, 2013, 12:00 Noon at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Blendon Central Cemetery.
