Elmer G. Pinnix, 90, of Columbus, passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2008. Born to Charles and Ella (Reidel) Pinnix in Cleveland, OH, April 29, 1918, Elmer was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Alberta Failor and Ruth Burroughs; brothers, Kenneth and Oliver Pinnix. Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Betty (Bayles) Pinnix; sons, Roger and Mark (Jacqueline) Pinnix; daughter, Rebecca (William) Radebaugh; 5 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Elmer was a foreman for Curtiss Wright during WWII, them worked and bought Bayles Auto Electric in 1950 until retiring in 1999. He was also a member of the Lion's Club for several years. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2008, 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus, OH with the Funeral Service at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Central Ohio Chapter, 3380 Tremont Road, Columbus, OH 43221 or Nationwide Children's Hospital, 700 Children's Drive, Columbus, OH 43205.
